Knezmost: Hotels and accommodations

Čížovka Lookout Tower is located in Kněžmost. It stands in the Čížovka district of the municipality of Kněžmost in the Central Bohemian Region, on the border of the Český ráj Protected Landscape Area and within the Český ráj Geopark. The almost 40-meter-high, pyramid-shaped lookout tower offers views of the surrounding landscape.

Trails

The “Orientační hra” around Kněžmost offers runners and hikers two routes of approximately 11 km and approximately 18 km. During the “Historické putování s Pannou klíčnicí”, the yellow-marked hiking trail leads through Lesopark Důně to Valečov Castle. The route is approximately 4 km long and can be completed on foot or by bicycle. The “Mokré putování s vodníkem Škebličkou” offers an approximately 3 km route to the ponds of Suhrovice and Drhleny, which can be covered on foot or by bicycle.

Water

Koupaliště Kněžmost has an unheated outdoor swimming pool with a circular entry and a mushroom-shaped water sprinkler. The Koupaliště also includes a paddling pool for children with a massage jet. A lawn for sunbathing completes the facilities.

Culture

The parish church of “sv. Františka Serafinského” was consecrated on September 3, 1843. It is a single-nave, oriented building with a three-sided closed presbytery and a floor plan in the shape of a Latin cross. The rich interior furnishings include valuable Renaissance and Baroque tombstones of former landowners and a church dignitary, as well as significant heraldic and epigraphic monuments of the region. The Empire-style town hall of Kněžmost, built in 1827, preserves original Baroque vaults with lunettes.
