Culture and History

A fortress once stood in Košík. A large skeletal burial site from the La Tène period was destroyed on the northwestern edge of Košík, at the former Horák brickworks. The built-up area of Košík is an archaeological area with documented or reasonably suspected archaeological finds.

The settlements associated with Košík historically developed as agriculturally oriented settlements around manor farms belonging to the church of Rožďalovice. The village also has a sandstone cross depicting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Memorial

The memorial in Košík was erected in 1928. An inscription and the names of the victims are engraved on its front and on both sides. It depicts the seated figure of a lonely, grieving woman.
