Radovesnice I: Hotels and Accommodation

The Štítarské Valley nature trail runs through Radovesnice I along the Pekelský potok stream. It leads from Štítary on the outskirts of Kolín via Radovesnice I to Zibohlavy.

The route connects several clearly named places: Štítary on the outskirts of Kolín, Radovesnice I, and Zibohlavy. Along the way, the Pekelský potok remains the continuous geographical reference point.

Culture and History

The Radovesnice I château complex includes a preserved Renaissance building in the farmyard, the so-called old château building. The Baroque granary in Radovesnice I was built in 1790–1791 and received an extension in 1832–1833 to serve as a grain drying facility.

At the beginning of the 16th century, the Maternové z Květnice had the first fortress built in Radovesnice. The Zámek Kačina château is also located in the vicinity of Radovesnice.

The Radovesnice waterworks was built in 1897 as the third drinking-water source for Kolín. Two collection wells from 1897 have been preserved in the waterworks' intake area near Radovesnice. The lower-lying well is covered by a two-metre-high masonry building with stone door jambs.

The monument to Ondřej Sovina stands northeast of Radovesnice I on the road to Křečhoř.

Landscape

In the immediate vicinity of Radovesnice are Skála Hill [Kbel u Ratboře], Polepský vrch Hill [Kolín], and Chlumeček Hill [Kořenice]. In the wider regional surroundings of Radovesnice lies Hořánck Mountain.
