Kutrovice: Hotels and Accommodation

In Kutrovice, a Baroque chapel stands on the village square in the southern part of the village. The late Baroque building dates from the mid-19th century and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1987; the chapel’s legal status is 144299.

Culture and History

Kutrovice is also home to an old mill. The medieval and modern-era centre of Kutrovice is designated as an archaeological area in category ÚAN II. The village of Kutrovice is documented in 1366 in the predicate of Petr z Kutrovic. West of the chapel stands House No. 2, a two-storey brick house with a gallery and an example of regional folk architecture from the first half of the 19th century. Kutrovice has had a mandolinists’ club for a long time.

In the wider regional surroundings of Kutrovice are the Hazmburk ruins, Zámek Ostrov Chateau, the Hradek Oltářík ruins and the U Svatého Gotharda Church.

Nature and Landscape

Kutrovice lies in a valley where the Bakovský potok stream crosses Road No. 7 beneath the Kutrovický Bridge. A horse chestnut tree in Kutrovice is designated as a natural monument. The Na Drahách [Třebíz] hill lies in the vicinity of Kutrovice; the Loustín, Srdov and Oblík mountains are located in the wider regional surroundings of Kutrovice.

Routes

A route just over 11 kilometres long leads from Tuřany via Byseň, Libovice, U Jána, Neprobylice, Kutrovice and Kvílice to Třebíz; it is suitable for hiking, off-road strollers and cycling. The educational trail “From Saint Spirit to the Seat of the Lord of Pětipes” leads from Kvílice to Neprobylice; the route then continues along the road to Kutrovice, with a short detour to the chapel there.
