History and culture

The settlement was later called Čechany; the Vladyka himself later bore the name Čechan z Miřetic. Kmetí dvůr is documented in Miřetice for the period from 1468 to 1550; in 1550, it was divided into four smaller farms.

The musician Karel Filip, who came from Miřetice, worked as a music professor in Budapest. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Miřetice dates from 1852 and has a bell tower.
