Ohrazenice: Hotels and Accommodation
The cycling route “From Jince via Ohrazenice to Sýkorky” runs through Ohrazenice and to the Ohrazenický (Pstruhový) stream in the Na Luhu valley. Along much of the route, it offers beautiful views of the Litavka valley; it also connects with the educational trail “From Jince to the Olympus of Brdy.”
Nature
The Koníček Nature Reserve comprises protected plots of land in the cadastral territory of Ohrazenice v Brdech. It protects preserved ravine forests and beech forests, as well as shale outcrops with fossil fauna.
Surroundings
In the immediate surroundings west of Ohrazenice lies Sýkorky, a meadow clearing and crossroads at an elevation of 536 m. Artillery positions are located in the meadow clearing. The summer fairy shrimp occurs in the pools at Sýkorky.
Culture and History
The nearby town of Jince lies on the edge of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area. Iron ore was already being mined and processed there by 1390 at the latest; the first blast furnace dates back to 1646.
On 10 May 2025, the traditional “Staročeské máje” festivities were opened in Ohrazenice with a “staročeská beseda” in front of the U Pstruha restaurant. A procession accompanied by the Míla Kadlec brass band then made its way through the village.
