Olbramovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Church of All Saints in Olbramovice preserves traces of its originally Romanesque construction phase. The rubble masonry of the tower, the tower with twin windows, and the surrounding masonry of the nave have survived. The paired windows, divided by small columns, as well as the dressed granite edges on the windows and tower, are preserved. In 1866, the church was rebuilt and given its current pseudo-Romanesque façade.

Culture

The Špejchar, a granary belonging to the farmyard and a cultural monument in Olbramovice, is also part of the architectural heritage. The Sýpka is a two-storey brick granary with a hipped roof. Its origins lie in the Renaissance; it was remodelled in the Baroque period. The Sýpka also retains remnants of sgraffito decoration and ornamental window openings with illusionistic painting.

The Dům | Sýpka building has a Renaissance core that probably dates from the second half of the 16th century and is an integral part of the historic manor estate in the village.

Olbramovice is home to a sculptural group of the Virgin Mary and Saint John dating from 1706. The Calvary sculptural group is a Baroque ensemble consisting of a central granite balustrade in front of a former wooden cross and two sandstone statues of the Virgin Mary and Saint John the Evangelist on taller granite pedestals. The year 1706 is inscribed on the pedestal of the statue of the Virgin Mary.

Tvrziště Příkop is a former medieval fortress dating from the 13th to the 15th century that stood in a pond in the centre of the village. The only visible remains of Tvrziště Příkop are remnants of the pond embankment on the eastern side of the site.

Nature

A considerable part of Olbramovice lies in Džbány–Žebrák Nature Park, which was designated in 1996. The Podhrázský rybník Nature Reserve is also located near Olbramovice; it is an ornithological area and an important resting place for migrating waterfowl and waders.

Trails

The Po stopách Sidonie Nádherné educational trail has seven stations and is approximately 8.3 km long. It connects Olbramovice with Vrchotovy Janovice.

The Votice–Olbramovice cycle path has been completed and opened for use; it was ceremonially opened on 15 September 2023.

Transport

The Prague–České Budějovice railway line runs through Olbramovice. The international I/3 road from Prague to Tábor also passes through the village.
