Olovnice: Hotels and accommodation
The mill in Olovnice is the oldest building in the village.
The Mill and Local History
The KnovÃzský stream flows through Olovnice. The mill bears the year 1561 and a stone plaque with the coat of arms of the Zejdlic family, depicting three carp arranged one above the other. A memorial plaque on the mill commemorates the fact that the Czech physician MUDr. Erazim Vlasák was born there in 1863.
The brewery in Olovnice ceased operations in 1950.
Chapel and Monument
The original square chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk, with a small bell tower, dated from 1751. A replacement chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk was built in 1992 in its original form at a new location in the centre of Olovnice. The bell for the chapel in Olovnice was recast at the Dytrych family workshop in Brodek u Přerova.
The monument to Josef Jungmann is registered as a cultural monument under number 553. It was restored in 1993 by the academic sculptor Petr Váňa and stands on the road leading from the central crossroads of Olovnice to the railway station.
Transport and Cycle Paths
Olovnice has a railway stop on the Kralupy nad Vltavou–Velvary line. There are two cycle paths in Olovnice, used by local residents and cyclists from the surrounding region.
