Klepec is a protected rock formation in the cadastral area of Přišimasy and also a small rock city formed from unusual remnants of weathered Říčany granite of the Central Bohemian Pluton. In 1977, Klepec was designated a protected natural monument.
Nature
The Klepec educational trail begins in Přišimasy-Skřivany. It is approximately 1 kilometre long and has two stations with information boards. The yellow-marked Klepec educational trail can be used by wheelchair users with assistance and by people with prams.
Čápova skála is located to the right beside the red-marked Hradešín–Úvaly hiking trail at the place called “Na bačovně”.
Townscape and Architectural History
The Church of St Peter and Paul is a single-nave building with a tower as wide as the western façade and a presbytery closed on three sides. It has a Romanesque core dating from the mid-13th century. The rectangular Baroque mortuary chapel dates from the 19th century.
Přišimasy preserve a settlement structure that developed from three originally independent settlements. The village was laid out as a regular circular settlement with a large circular village square and a pond.
Festivals and Events
The annual Earth Day celebrations take place at the Klepec natural monument. Staročeské máje is a traditional festival in Přišimasy featuring folk customs, a procession of young men and women in costume, music and evening entertainment.
The recurring family run “O pohár Klepce” includes competitions for children and adults as well as a family relay race. In Přišimasy, it takes place at the Slouha erratic boulder; the 12th edition was scheduled for Saturday, 20 June 2026.
