Podbrdy: Hotels and Accommodation

Podbrdy lies below the slopes of the Brdy forests. A marked hiking trail runs through Podbrdy to the Brdy ridges.

Nature and Trails

The marked cycle route No. 3 runs through the Podbrdy area along Road II/115. In the vicinity of Podbrdy, the Všeradická forest road runs between Vižina and Podbrdy; cycle route 308 also follows it. A hike to Mount Jistevník can begin in Podbrdy.

Culture and History

Karlov Pond was given its present form in 1936. There is a new niche chapel in Podbrdy. Today, the “Čarodějnice” tradition is organised in Podbrdy.

The former missile base is located on the Hřebeny-Brdy ridge between the peaks of Jistevník and Vrážky. It was not possible to enter its grounds because of warning signs prohibiting access.

Events by the Water

On 25 July 2015, a public night fishing event was held at Karlov Pond in Podbrdy. The event offered refreshments and covered seating.
