Ptýrov: Hotels and accommodations

The Baroque Valdštejn hunting lodge in Maníkovice lies within the cadastral area of Ptýrov. It was built in 1711 and is protected as a cultural monument.

Culture and history

The chapel in Ptýrov was restored in 1992 and consecrated at a ceremony on 11 July. In the wider regional surroundings of Ptýrov are the designated Starý Berštejn ruin site, the designated Valdštejn church, and the designated Kaple Nejsvětější Trojice chapel.

Nature and landscape

The Skalní sruby Jizery feature significant rock walls and two lateral niches formed by the lateral erosion of the Jizera River. Beneath them lies the geomorphologically most distinctive pseudokarst niche of the Jizera River. Access to the Skalní sruby Jizery can be very difficult during the growing season.

The Maníkovické duby are a group of notable pedunculate oaks in Maníkovice. The designated mountain Lysá lies in the vicinity of Ptýrov. The wider regional surroundings also include the designated mountains Velká Buková and Malá Buková. The designated hill Kalvárka [Bakov nad Jizerou-Horka] lies in the immediate vicinity of Ptýrov.

Leisure and gastronomy

The marked Greenway Jizera cycle path runs from Mnichovo Hradiště past the Ptýrov weir and continues to Veselá and Lhotice.

Farma Ptýrov is an equestrian center with two outdoor riding arenas, a covered hall, a lunging ring, and a horse carousel. The center hosts national and international show-jumping competitions, national championships, Hubertus rides, and events for children. The Farma Ptýrov restaurant specializes in modern Czech cuisine; steaks and international specialties are also served there.
