Culture and history

In the center of Svárov stands St. Luke’s Church on the southern side of the village square. Its masonry features Romanesque elements, along with a Gothic chancel.

The Svárovská lípa was first placed under protection on July 25, 1978. In the 19th century, Czech patriots led by F. L. Čelakovský gathered beneath the Svárovská lípa memorial linden.

Karlštejn Castle is located in the vicinity of Svárov. The wider region is home to Letohrádek královny Anny, a chateau, the Stará kanalizační čistírna Praha-Bubeneč Museum, and Palác Kinských, a palace.

Nature and landscape

The Loděnice watercourse runs along the southwestern boundary of the cadastral area of Svárov. Svárovský rybník pond lies in the middle of the built-up area of Svárov.

The boundary of the Povodí Kačáku Nature Park runs along the western edge of the built-up area of Svárov; the nature park includes extensive contiguous woodland. The Povodí Kačáku Nature Park covers almost two-thirds of the area of Svárov.

Doutnáč is a mountain in the vicinity of Svárov. Nearby are also the U Černého kříže hill [Úhonice], Chrbina hill [Chyňava-Libečov], and Velký vrch hill [Nenačovice].

Experiences
