Svetice: Hotels and Accommodation

The 25-kilometre-long educational trail “Cesta kocoura Mikeše” runs through Světice from Hrusice to Mukařov. It has 14 stations; the 11th station, “Starostovic Mícinka”, is located in the municipality.

Nature

The Říčanský les is located in the northeastern cadastral area of Světice and is a legally protected significant landscape feature. The forest is considered a refuge for forest animal species and is home to an outpost of nature conservationists.

V Slatinách comprises natural habitats of ash-alder floodplain forests and oak-hornbeam forests; the significant landscape feature V Slatinách is used for recreation. U Struh is a damp terrain depression on the edge of Světice along the railway line, with habitats consisting of tall-sedge vegetation and moist willow scrub.

Activities

Hiking, cycling, horseback riding, and collecting mushrooms and wild berries are possible in the Říčanský les. Opposite the cultural centre in Světice, there is a sports complex with courts for football, nohejbal, and tennis.

Culture

The Světický zvonek is the oldest preserved antique in the municipality of Světice.

Getting There

Světice railway station is located on railway line 221 between Praha and Benešov u Prahy. It is step-free; all platforms are accessible and equipped with guide paths featuring warning strips for visually impaired passengers.
