Tursko: Hotels and Accommodation

Tursko’s dominant landmark is the Church of Saint Martin. Construction of the new church began in 1698, and it was consecrated in 1700.

Culture and History

The restored Křížovnická Residence dates in its current form from 1725. The historic farm complex in Tursko, built in 1661, is also part of the village’s history. Tursko was part of the economic hinterland of the Order of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star.

Archaeology

South of Tursko, the Krliš site was already used as a burial ground during the later Únětice culture. A burial mound was built on the summit of Krliš during the transition from the Hallstatt to the La Tène period. Further burial activities took place at Krliš in the early Middle Ages.

Archaeological finds are concentrated in a strip from Krliš Hill to Těšina. The oldest archaeological finds from the cadastral area of Tursko date from 1828. The area around Tursko also contains burial mounds extending from Ers to Chýnovský Háj.

Hiking and Events

A yellow-marked hiking trail ends in Tursko. Tursko also hosts the recurring musical event Turské hudební odpoledne; the municipality announced its seventh edition.
