Hornà Renešák is the middle of three bodies of water that probably originated in the 16th century; however, an earlier origin cannot be ruled out. The body of water was used for fish farming for Libčany Castle and, above all, to power the Hvozdnický mlýn.
History
The first written references to the settlement of Hvozdnice date from 1073. By 2017, archaeologists from the museum in Hradec KrálovĂ© had uncovered more than 150 graves in Hvozdnice. The MohylnĂk Hvozdnice archaeological burial mound site is located in the cadastral area of LibÄŤany and is traditionally associated more with Hvozdnice.
The former Hvozdnický mlýn water mill stands on the southwestern edge of the municipality; it is not open to visitors. Hvozdnický mlýn was built around 1573 by Václav Nejedlý, the owner of the Libčany estate and son of Petr Nejedlý from Vysoká.

The educational trail “Cesta do minulosti Libčan a Hvozdnic” takes visitors through the history of the two municipalities and also focuses on unique archaeological finds. It comprises six information panels and leads via six stops from Libčany to Hvozdnice near Hradec Králové in eastern Bohemia.
