Lejšovka: Hotels and Accommodation
Lejšovka has several clearly identifiable features: the village centre contains protected local landmarks, the Violky wet meadow lies in the Kaltouz biocentre, and the surrounding area is criss-crossed by a network of cycle paths.
Villagescape and History
The centre of Lejšovka contains a protected ensemble consisting of a stone bell and a cast-iron cross on a stone pedestal. There is also a wooden belfry on the village green; next to it stands a sandstone cross dating from 1882. Opposite the pond stands a cast-iron cross on a stone pedestal that is considered worthy of monument protection.
Local history also includes the former school and the cemetery complex. The former school in Lejšovka is considered a building of local historical or local architectural value. The former classroom is used for cultural purposes; aerobics and table tennis also take place there. The cemetery complex in Lejšovka is considered an area of local historical or local architectural value.
In the Kalthouz forest on the southern edge of the Lejšovka cadastral area are the remains of a historic water castle, possibly dating from the second half of the 13th century.
Nature
The Kaltouz biocentre and the Violky wet meadow are associated with Lejšovka, Smržov and Libřice. The endangered tall violet species Viola elatior grows in the Violky wet meadow in the Kaltouz biocentre; in eastern Bohemia, it occurs at only one other location besides this site.
Sport and Events
The area around Lejšovka is criss-crossed by a network of cycle paths; cycle route 4166 passes through Lejšovka. The local angling association regularly holds fishing competitions at Náveský rybník. A sports complex with sand courts for tennis, volleyball and nohejbal is located next to Náveský rybník. The sports complex also includes a small-sided football pitch.
