Vysoká Nad Labem: Hotels and Accommodation

Vysoká nad Labem combines mixed and pine forests with the Labe floodplain and lies along the Labská stezka cycling route. On the section between Vysoká nad Labem and Smiřice, the Labská stezka offers a flat route with views of the river, peaceful nature, and the confluence of the Labe and Orlice rivers.

Nature

At 284.5 m above sea level, Milíř Hill is the highest point in the wide surrounding area. The Milíř lookout tower is 31 m high and has a hexagonal viewing platform at a height of 27 m. The lookout tower is closed until further notice; the reason is its technical condition and a reconstruction planned for summer 2026.

MHD bus routes 18 and 20 connect Vysoká nad Labem with Hradec Králové. The Milíř lookout tower is located approximately 200 m from the Vysoká nad Labem terminus.

Culture

The Opatovický Canal at Opatovický splav was built in 1513 and is 35 km long. Over time, 32 mills were built along this canal.

A memorial plaque in Vysoká nad Labem commemorates the parachute group BARIUM's landing on 3 April 1944; it was unveiled on 17 October 1993. A monument funded by the municipality was erected at the site of the tragedy in 1947, where these events are regularly commemorated.

Sport

The Vysoká nad Labem sports complex includes a grass football pitch, a beach volleyball court, a skatepark, and a workout area. Use of the sports facilities is subject to a fee; reservations are made electronically.
