Kacákova Lhota: Hotels and Accommodation
At the local outdoor swimming pool in Kacákova Lhota stands a barn built in 1881. It was constructed as part of a farm complex in Ostružno that no longer exists today, has been protected since June 30, 1993, and was relocated from Ostružno to Kacákova Lhota in 1996 and rebuilt at the outdoor swimming pool.
Culture and History
The crucifix with enclosure in Kacákova Lhota is an immovable cultural monument listed in the Central Register of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. The village also has several memorial crosses and wayside shrines. The year 1546 is cited as the demonstrably first mention of the founding of Kacákova Lhota.
The historical architectural remains include the cellars of Náchodský dvůr in Kacákova Lhota. They are considered the oldest demonstrably preserved building; their construction is dated to the first half of the 17th century.
Water and the Villagescape
A preserved mill stands on the Mlýnský potok; the Mlýnský potok is fed by the Úlibický potok as a millrace. Where the Trnávka stream flows into the Úlibický potok, the Úlibický potok roughly divides the municipality into Kacákova Lhota and Náchodsko.
Events and Leisure
During the traditional Masopust in Kacákova Lhota, a procession with numerous original masks and live music passes through the entire municipality. At the end of the Masopust procession, a traditional pig slaughter feast was held at the local inn. At the Morana event on March 22, 2026, winter was bid farewell and spring was welcomed. A natural swimming pool is available for leisure activities in Kacákova Lhota.
