Radim: Hotels and Accommodation

Radim lies at the foot of wooded hills near Jičín and Valdice. In the centre of Radim stands the Church of St George on the road to Železnice. In 1625, the provisional crypt of Lukrécie Nekešová, Albrecht von Wallenstein’s first wife, was established there.

Culture

Studeňany has been a village conservation area since 1997. The wooden houses there, with carved gables and sandstone elements, are typical examples of folk architecture in the Jičín region.

House No. 41 in Radim is a rare surviving monument of folk architecture. After part of the building collapsed in 2008, it was restored; since 2015, the house has been home to a library.

Architecture

The wooden buildings in Tužín are distinguished by elaborately designed gables, several of which have retained their original form. Hiking and cycling routes lead through Tužín to the ruins of Kumburk Castle.
