Culture and history

The Městské muzeum is housed in the former Wenke department store dating from 1911; the building has been a national cultural monument since 2017. Following a reconstruction completed in March 2023, the museum offers modern interactive exhibitions.

The Železniční muzeum presents permanent exhibitions on locomotive sheds, steam locomotives, electric locomotives, railcars, railway cranes and railway carriages. The Železniční muzeum Výtopna Jaroměř is housed in a former locomotive shed for steam locomotives in the immediate vicinity of Jaroměř railway station and can be reached from the station via a footpath.

The Muzeum magie displays a collection of magical objects. Visitors can walk through a labyrinth at the Muzeum magie. The Chrám sv. Mikuláše is open to the public during events such as the Night of Churches and European Heritage Days.

Nature and landscape

The Ptačí park Josefovské louky offers information panels, an educational trail, an observation point and rest areas near the Josefov fortress by Jaroměř. The Ptačí park Josefovské louky is open daily and admission is free. The Záchranná stanice ČSOP in Jaroměř offers excursions on request.
