The KČT cycling route 4116 runs through Chotěborky, Velichovky, Litíč, Zaloňov and Kuks. In Zaloňov, there are the bus stops “Zaloňov,,kříž” and “Zaloňov,,ObÚ”.

Trails

The historic path to the cross above Zaloňov, restored in 2022, is intended for pedestrians and cyclists. From this cross, the historic Via lucis – Cesta světla leads to Kuks Hospital.

In the vicinity of Zaloňov is Libiny [Jaroměř - Semonice], a hill. Also nearby are (Betlém [Hřibojedy]), a hill, (Borový) [Rožnov], a hill, and Za Kostelem [Velichovky], a hill.

Culture and History

Historic mulberry trees stand by the church in Zaloňov. The filial Church of St. Peter and Paul was formerly a parish church. Lázně is a church in the wider regional vicinity of Zaloňov.

On April 30, 2016, a traditional witch-burning event took place at the sand pond in Zaloňov. Members of the SDH and the fishing association organized competitions, a witch hunt and refreshments for children; there was also a lantern procession and a large fire.

Golf

The Nová Amerika Golf Resort comprises three 9-hole loops named Woodland, Maple Hills and Bohemian Garden. The golf course of the Nová Amerika Golf Resort is located on converted agricultural land and opened in June 2002.
