Batňovice: Hotels and accommodations

Batňovice is located at the lowest point of the Rtyňsko–Svatoňovická Basin. To the north, the basin is bordered by the Jestřebí Mountains, and to the south by the hills of Bosna, Písek, Verpán, and Varta. The mountains of Jański Wierch, Starozámecký vrch, and Martwiec are also located in the vicinity of Batňovice.

Culture and history

The Church of Saint Bartholomew in Batňovice is a designated cultural monument. It is dated to 1356; its present appearance dates back to 1866 following several repairs and alterations.

The first reports of the school in Batňovice-Zálesí date from around 1680. A separate school building, numbered 181, was constructed for the school in 1899. The Batňovice Municipal Library was established in 1920 by merging the “Krakonošova” and “Čtenářské besedy” libraries.

Zamek Rogowiec is a castle in the wider regional surroundings of Batňovice. Ścinawka Górna - Renesansowy dwór is also a castle in this wider regional area. Opactwo Cysterskie w Krzeszowie is a monastery there, while Zamek Schwarzwaldau is a ruin.

Activities

Cycle route 2 leads to Batňovice and is 13.8 km long. It has an elevation gain of 106 metres and a medium difficulty level, and is suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes. Along the route, there is also an opportunity to use a charging station for e-bikes.

The “Na Verpánu” ski lift in Batňovice began operating in 1971.

Culinary experiences

The “Batňovické kotlíky” event at the Klondyke complex in Batňovice invites visitors to taste kettle goulash and take part in a goulash-cooking competition.
