Nature and trails

The Střední hřeben walking trail is approximately 5.5 km long and begins at the square by the Art Nouveau colonnade in Janské Lázně. The route offers views of the spa town of Janské Lázně and Černá hora.

Luisina cesta through the Těsný (Klausův) důl valley is approximately 5 km long and also begins at the square by the Art Nouveau colonnade. The trail passes cascades of the Černohorský potok and a waterfall up to 4 meters high.

The Krkonoše treetop trail in Janské Lázně runs for more than 1,500 meters through a species-rich forest. It features a 45-meter-high observation tower and includes an underground educational center focusing on the root systems of trees.

In the wider regional surroundings of Janské Lázně lies Černohorské rašeliniště, the largest forest bog in the Krkonoše Mountains. The Černohorské rašeliniště educational trail can be reached there by cable car from Janské Lázně.

Spa and winter

The Janské Lázně spa uses thermal mineral water that emerges in the spa grounds as Janův pramen and Černý pramen.

Visitors to Janské Lázně have access to 90 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails, including loops around Černá hora and Světlá hora. The SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC area near Janské Lázně is connected to the ski area of Pec pod Sněžkou via the SkiTour.

The Staré dobré lázeňské cesty trail group takes visitors through interesting places in Janské Lázně. Maps showing the routes and sights were printed for this trail group.

The Lázeňská naučná stezka educational trail begins at Svobody Square and leads from the Church of Saint John the Baptist along forest paths via Mariánská výšina and Střední hřeben to Hoffmannova bouda. Several stations provide information about the history of spa treatment, architecture, and natural features.
