Souvrať: Hotels and Accommodation

Souvrať is an agricultural settlement with scattered rural buildings. A hiking trail runs through the village along forest and meadow paths through a landscape of foothill cottages in the Krkonoše region to Mostek.

Rural Character and Protected Areas

Souvrať lies in the Východočeská křída CHOPAV protected area and in the outer protection zone PHO 2 for public drinking-water sources. The scattered buildings and agricultural character define the character of the settlement.

Crosses and Religious Monuments

In Souvrať, there is a cross on a sandstone pedestal with a relief of Our Lady of Sorrows, dated 1793. The tall Souvrať cross, made of white sandstone, bears a niche with a relief of the Virgin Mary. The lower part of its pedestal features a relief depicting a view into the Holy Sepulchre, while biblical texts appear on the sides of the pedestal.

Historical traces can also be found in nearby Dvořačky: the sandstone cross there dates from the late 19th century and bears the signature of the sculptor G. Staffa. It also bears a biblical text in Schwabacher script.

Chapel and Local History

In the vicinity of Souvrať stands the cemetery chapel of St. Anne, a historicist building from the early 20th century. The land for the cemetery and the Chapel of St. Anne on the road from Mostek to Souvrať was donated in 1909 by Countess Anna Deymová.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Souvrať was an administrative municipality for Mostek and the surrounding settlements of Josefská Výšina and Dvořařky; a municipal office and a school were located there.

Hiking Trails in the Surrounding Area

A hiking route in the vicinity of Souvrať allows for a detour to the Les Království Reservoir, approximately 6 kilometres away, and a return to Souvrať along the same route. To return to Mostek, you can take a bus or train from Dvůr Králové.
