Kocbere: Hotels and accommodations

A yellow-marked hiking trail leads from Janská Studánka via Nové Kocbeře, Liščí hora and Bělunka to Harcov and is 11 km long. Two cycling routes also run through or to Kocbeře: Cycling route No. 4087 from Stanovice to Pilníkov passes through the cadastral area of Kocbeře, is easy and 29 km long. Cycling route No. 4117 leads from Heřmanice to Kocbeře as far as U Partyzána, is of moderate difficulty and 22 km long.

Culture and history

A stone with an engraved deer dating from 1726 has been preserved in Kocbeře. It commemorates a count's hunt from the time of Count Špork. A chapel dedicated to Saint John the Baptist was built near Janská Studánka in 1671; the place became a frequently visited pilgrimage site.

The Chapel of Saint Florian is located in the center of Kocbeře. At the edge of the forest in the direction of Janská Studánka lies a military cemetery for victims of 1866. The rural character of the village is also reflected in the Kocbeře 115 property, a village house with valuable gable detailing as well as preserved brick-and-stone stables and cellars.

The former textile factory complex in the north of Kocbeře is now a factory producing plastic parts. It has preserved its historic appearance and, together with its chimney, is one of the landmarks of the village of Kocbeře.

In October 2024, the municipality of Kocbeře acquired the Janská Studánka complex in order to preserve this unique place with its rich history for future generations.

A stream flows through Kocbeře. It rises in forested wetlands near Janská Studánka and on a wooded ridge north of the municipality.
