Rudník: Hotels and Accommodation

Rudník boasts a preserved foothill landscape with meadows, forests and small streams. Panoramic views open up from many places, particularly of Černá hora, Liščí hora and Světlá hora.

Nature

Rudník is connected to the marked hiking trail network of the Club of Czech Tourists. The 3 km route from Rudník to Lázně Fořt is an easy walk suitable for families with children. The 8 km route from Rudník via Javorník to Hertvíkovice leads through a foothill landscape with views of the Krkonoše Mountains. The 10 km route from Rudník to Janské Lázně allows you to continue by cable car to Černá hora.

Trails and Activities

The Rudník pump track is suitable for practising balance, bicycle control and riding technique, both for beginners and experienced riders. A pump track has been in operation next to the tennis courts in Rudník since 28 June 2019.

Culture and History

The Church of St Wenceslas in Rudník is protected as a cultural monument. It was originally Gothic and was rebuilt by Carlo Valmadim from 1598 to 1602. Gravestones from the 16th century have been preserved on its outer surrounding wall.

The former Renaissance château in Rudník was extensively converted into a brewery at the beginning of the 19th century. Renaissance vaults have been preserved in the former brewery; Renaissance sgraffito is visible beneath the peeling façade plaster. Until 1922, Lázně Fořt was a spa with a healing mineral spring.

Silbersteinů Château is a château built in the Pseudo-Gothic style, known as “Little Hluboká”. It can be viewed from the outside while passing by.
