Lichnov U Bruntálu: Hotels and Accommodations
Dubnice combines historic traces with a settlement pattern structured by the Hájnický Stream and a cycling connection through the surrounding area.
Townscape and History
A prominent landmark is the filial Church of Saint Anthony of Padua in Dubnice. The valuable Empire-style sacred building was constructed in 1822–1823 and, together with the adjoining enclosing wall, forms a landmark of the village. The restoration of the Church of Saint Anthony of Padua in Dubnice was completed in October 2025.
Dubnice is already mentioned in a document from 1289 as the property of Beneš of Branice and Lobenštejn. In 1409, Markéta, the daughter of Petr of Lichnov, received Dubnice from her husband Jindřich Čelma of Brantice as a dowry.
The medieval and modern-era core of the village of Dubnice is an archaeological zone in category ÚAN II. Archaeological finds have been documented there or can reasonably be expected.
