Karlova Studánka: Hotels and Accommodation

The Bílá Opava educational trail begins at the car park in Karlova Studánka and leads via the Barborka chalet. It connects to the Se skřítkem okolí Pradědu educational trail, which leads to Praděd. The Bílá Opava educational trail is more demanding and includes footbridges over the stream, ladders and chains in some sections. The route through the Bílá Opava valley passes through a nature reserve with cascades and waterfalls.

Townscape

Karlova Studánka was declared a heritage zone in 2004. The Hudební hala was built in 1836–1837 and has been preserved as a protected building in almost its original condition. The wooden building stands on a stone base and has Tuscan columns.

The Pitný pavilon, formerly called Vilémův pramen, was built in 1864 and became a symbol of the spa town. The wooden pavilion is equipped with a covered spring; iron-rich water can be collected from several outlets. It is considered an architectural and urban landmark of the spa town.

Horské lázně Karlova Studánka offer a wide range of restorative and medical treatments, as well as a spa environment with a healthy mountain climate and mineral springs.

Things to do

The Environmentální trasa – Hvězda is a 3.4 km circular spa trail. It begins at the main entrance of the Libuše spa building and is marked with red squares. Signs with quiz questions are placed along the entire route.

The Geological Exhibition in Karlova Studánka is 200 m long, accessible on foot and easy. It documents the geological development of the entire Jeseníky region.

Cycle route 553 leads from Vrbno pod Pradědem to Karlova Studánka. The described cycle route follows a paved road.
