The Karlovice-North protected area preserves a unique, intact population of indigenous JesenĂky larches.
Trails
The “History and Nature of Karlovice” educational trail leads past 13 stops. Trails branch off from it to Mořské oko and Adamov.
History and Culture
Karlovice is home to the Church of St. John of Nepomuk, a single-nave Baroque building constructed in 1777–1779 on the site of an older chapel. There is also a Baroque house dating from 1745.
Kosárna is a protected technical monument dating from 1600. It houses a local museum devoted primarily to forestry and featuring exhibitions about Karlovice and personalities from the municipality.
Kosárna has been closed since May 18, 2026, due to construction work and will remain closed until further notice.
