Trails and Nature
The “Exploring Dobratice” route is an easy 6 km trail that leads to the red-marked hiking route in the direction of Prašivá. The hiking route from Dobratice to Prašivá runs mostly along paved paths and is therefore also suitable for cycling tours.
The Prašivá educational trail passes through the municipalities of VyšnĂ Lhoty, Raškovice, PraĹľmo, Morávka, KomornĂ Lhotka, HnojnĂk, Dobratice, Vojkovice, HornĂ Domaslavice, NiĹľnĂ Lhoty and Nošovice. Along the educational trail, information boards in each municipality it passes through provide information about local conditions, historical facts, notable personalities, and historical and natural sights.
Dobratice Forest Park offers numerous wooden play elements, an educational trail for children, an outdoor fitness area, a barefoot or sensory trail, and a disc golf course. There are also benches and wooden decorations in the form of animals.
The red hiking trail from Dobratice leads in the opposite direction to the Žermanice Reservoir, where swimming and water sports are possible. Parking is available below the Church of St. Philip and James for the “Exploring Dobratice” route; by bus, you can get off at the Dobratice, Restaurant Na Šenku stop.
Culture and History
The first written mention of Dobratice dates back to 1580. The origins of Dobratice can be dated to around 1512 based on ceramic finds in the Ĺ prochovice district. An independent parish was established in Dobratice in 1868.
The wooden bell tower in Dobratice was built by local residents at the beginning of the 20th century. It stands along the tourist route in the direction of Prašivá and serves as a resting and stopping point for locals and visitors.
The Church of St. Philip and James was consecrated in 1865 and is considered the most notable historical sight in Dobratice. The Church of St. Anthony of Padua, dating from 1640, stands on Prašivá.
A manufacturer of decorative candles operates a shop in a former cowshed in Dobratice, which visitors can visit.
