Jablunkov: Hotels and Accommodation

The Museum of Tripoint is housed in a building with a Renaissance core dating from the 16th century, one of the oldest brick buildings in Silesia. The building bears the traditional name “Prince's House” and became the property of the Těšín princes from the Piast dynasty in the second half of the 16th century. The museum features a permanent exhibition entitled “Landscape and People”.

Culture and History

The World Bible Museum is located in the Old Monastery in Jablunkov. The collection of the World Bible Museum currently comprises around 5,000 exhibits; the oldest date from the second half of the 16th century, including items from 1540, 1549 and 1556/57.

Every year, the Jablunkov parish organises a pilgrimage on the Feast of Corpus Christi.

Educational Trails

The “Příroda Jablunkovska” educational trail is located in the cadastral territory of the town of Jablunkov and is 8 km long. Information panels provide information about the flora, fauna and waterways of the Jablunkovsko region.

The “Stezka historií Jablunkova” educational trail has 17 stops.

Green Spaces and Sculptures

The Jablunkov municipal forest includes a park with stone sculptures, a pump track and a nature trail. A nature trail in the Jablunkov municipal forest leads to a water source.

The Jablunkov Sanatorium arboretum comprises 350 species of trees, shrubs and perennials. The park of the Jablunkov Sanatorium features sculptures by Jan Tříska and Vincent Makovský.

Folklore and the Annual Cycle

The “Jackové dětem” children’s folklore festival takes place in June. The “Gorolski Świento” folklore festival takes place in Jablunkov on the first weekend of August and is considered the oldest festival in the region.
