The Frenštát Aquapark offers a multipurpose pool and a swimming pool, heated water, refreshments, seating areas, and a volleyball court. The aquapark also includes a children’s pool. In addition, there is a 60-meter-long and 5.8-meter-high water slide, as well as a two-lane water slide with a slide length of 13.1 meters.

Sports and History

The ski-jumping complex on Horečky was built in the 1960s. In 1968, the first hill with K = 43 m was built, followed in 1969 by two more hills with K = 72 m and K = 90 m. Since 1973, GRAND PRIX ski-jumping competitions have been held there regularly. Jiří Raška is particularly associated with the complex on Horečky and the ski-jumping hills in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm.

Culture

The Church of St. Martin in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm is registered as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic and is regularly used for church services, concerts, and other events. Architecturally, it is a single-nave, Baroque-oriented building with an attached square tower, an onion dome, and Rococo furnishings.

The Frenštát pod Radhoštěm Museum has nine exhibitions on the individual floors, as well as three exhibition halls on the ground floor for temporary exhibitions, lectures, and audiovisual programs. It offers unguided tours and texts in foreign languages.

Nature and Trails

The green-marked hiking trail to the observation tower on Velký Javorník begins at the Frenštát pod Radhoštěm railway station and leads directly there.

The Beskydské nebe educational trail is located on Horečky at the border between Frenštát pod Radhoštěm and Trojanovice. It has eight stations and includes an 85-meter-long accessible treetop walkway that is open seasonally. The excursion along the Beskydské nebe educational trail is designated as a hiking and cycling excursion and covers 3.4 km from the car park near the ski-jumping hill back to this car park.

The town hall tower in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm is usually opened to the public during the tourism season and serves as an observation tower offering views of the Beskids panorama.
