The recognized cultural landmark in Hůrka is the Chapel of Saint Anne. The brick building dating from 1851 stands in the center of Hůrka near House No. 8 and documents the continued presence of Baroque architectural forms in the rural setting of the 19th century.

History and Local Life

The first reliable written mention of Hůrka dates from 1383. The Hůrka Settlement Committee organizes numerous cultural and social events every year together with local associations.

Surroundings and Location

A stream flows through Hůrka that is called Vlčnovka in its upper reaches and Bernatický potok in its lower reaches, and is also known as the Teplá. The Horecký les forest extends over part of the Hůrka area. Hůrka belongs to the municipality of Jeseník nad Odrou, which lies in the southwestern part of the Poodří Protected Landscape Area.

Cycle Paths

The Kolem Jeseníku cycle path runs through Hůrka and also features an illustrated dictionary of the Moravian-Silesian dialect by Radek Leskovjan. The easy, 17.5 km-long cycle route No. 503 Odersko runs from Starý Jičín via Hůrka and Jeseník nad Odrou. The Hůrka district offers suitable conditions for sport gliding.

Swimming Pool and Restaurant

Hůrka has a swimming pool with a restaurant and a hostel. The restaurant at the swimming pool is called FA STARS.
