Mošnov stretches along both banks of the Lubina. A signposted cycle route runs through the village. Another cycle route leads south from Mošnov via Příbor to Kopřivnice. From Mošnov, you can also access the signposted cycle route known as the Jantarová stezka, which runs from Kraków via Moravia to Vienna.

The nearby Poodří Protected Landscape Area lies northwest of Mošnov. Together with the course of the Lubina and the signposted routes, this surrounding area shapes the village’s geographical setting.

History

Mošnov was first mentioned in written records in 1367. The village was established on the right bank of the Lubina, while the settlement of Mošnovec developed on the left bank. The settlement of Engeswald, founded by German colonists, later merged with Mošnov and Mošnovec to form one municipality.
