Hlušovice: Hotels and accommodations

Hlušovice is the first stop on the cycling route from Olomouc to Šternberk; there, the route leads to a pond in the center of the village. Willows grow beside a second pond, and a water sprite figure stands on an island.

Leisure

The municipal sports complex in the center of Hlušovice includes a tennis court. It can be rented via an online reservation form.

On the Hvězdná cycling route (Olomouc–Šternberk), Maják Hlušovice is a leisure complex with a restaurant in a replica naval ship, a stylish Captain Club, and a lighthouse.

In 2024 and 2026, Letní kino Hlušovice was held as an open-air cinema at the municipality’s sports field, with refreshments available.

Events

At the Drakiáda in Hlušovice on October 7, 2023, there was communal kite flying, inflatable attractions for children, a dragon trail, workshops, and a puppet theater. At the Gulášfest in Hlušovice on the same day, there were goulash tastings, a winner’s selection, and a raffle.

Culture and history

The Neo-Gothic Church of St. Peter and Paul in Hlušovice was completed in 1926. The branch church of St. Peter and Paul is in operation and belongs to the Bohuňovice parish.

On the road to Dolany stands a Baroque wayside shrine over 200 years old, with a triangular ground plan. Another wayside shrine was erected in 1795 to commemorate a severe hailstorm.
