Nature

A specific natural feature of Grygov is the U Strejčkova lomu nature monument. Heat-loving steppe plant communities with numerous plant species grow within the nature monument and its protection zone. In the surrounding agricultural landscape, the nature monument provides refuge for numerous animal species. In spring, it is frequently visited during the flowering of the large-flowered pasqueflower; photography and filming are permitted.

Stage 2 of the Cyrilometodějská stezka trail from Olomouc to Kokory mentions the Království Grygov nature reserve in connection with Grygov. In the immediate vicinity of Grygov are Výměny Hill [Velký Týnec-Vsisko], the Kostel sv. Michala church, the Kostel Panny Marie Sněžné church, and Čechovy sady Park. In the wider regional surroundings of Grygov are Skalice Mountain, Růžový Kopec Mountain, and the monuments Pomník obětem 1. světové války and Socha sv. Jana Nepomuckého.

Culture and local history

The statue Socha sv. Václava a sv. Kateřiny (Alexandrijské), listed as a cultural monument, stands in the park next to the sv. Jana Nepomuckého Chapel in Grygov. Construction of the new chapel began on 19 May 1846 on the site of an earlier bell tower; the sv. Jana Nepomuckého Chapel in Grygov was consecrated on 17 May 1849.

Residential building No. 124 in the area of Grygov railway station is a registered cultural monument. The railway connection between Grygov and the surrounding area was completed in 1841.
