Horní Nětčice: Hotels and accommodations

Horní Nětčice is located in the area known as Záhoří, in the triangle between Hranice na Moravě, Lipník nad Bečvou, and Bystřice pod Hostýnem.

History and village character

According to the Brno land registers, Horní Nětčice was founded in 1250. Until 1848, the village belonged to the Lipník estate. The chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua dates from 1911; a statue of Saint Anthony of Padua from 1926 stands in the village square. A stone cross near the chapel dates from 1916.

There are also crosses with known dates of origin in other parts of the village: a cross at Za bránou dates from 1910, a cross at Pochyle dates from 1915, and a cross at Bařinky dates from 1937.

Events and gatherings

Two social balls are held in Horní Nětčice every year. The May celebrations in Horní Nětčice include a lantern parade. There is also a gathering with older residents in Horní Nětčice.

Kelčský Javorník, a mountain, is located in the vicinity of Horní Nětčice. Holý vrch, also a mountain, is likewise located nearby. In the immediate vicinity of Horní Nětčice is Mezicestí [Horní Nětčice], a hill; Kopaniny [Radotín u Lipníka nad Bečvou], also a hill, is located there as well. Svatá Marie, a church, is also located in the surrounding area.
