The “Koválovické lípy” are a protected group of two small-leaved lime trees (Tilia cordata) in the cadastral area of Koválovice u Tištína, part of the municipality of Koválovice-Osíčany.

Culture and Remembrance

The Museum of the Border Guard and the SNB permanently exhibits objects and documents about the life and struggle of Czech border guards. It was founded by a retiree who served with the Ministry of the Interior’s Border Guard in the 1960s.

A memorial plaque commemorating General Josef Kroutil was installed in 1993 at the Koválovice war memorial to those who fell in the First World War. The war memorial to those who fell in the First World War in the center of Koválovice bears the names of twelve fallen local residents.
