Activities

The Johanna Schrotha Educational Trail is 8.5 kilometers long and leads through ten stations, where the history of the surrounding area is the main focus.

The Lipovské stezky comprise two blue trails and one black trail. Two additional trails can be reached via a signposted transfer and the ascent to the nearby Toč mountain. The Lipovské stezky are less demanding than the Rychlebské stezky and are therefore suitable for families with children and beginners.

Nature

The Na Pomezí Caves offer a visitor route more than half a kilometer long, with named cave chambers such as Ledový dóm, Bílý dóm, U Smuteční vrby, Římské lázně, Klenotnice, and Královský komín, as well as stalactite formations, cascades, and small lakes.

The Na Pomezí Caves are closed to visitors from May 18, 2026, until the end of 2026.

The Faunapark in Horní Lipová is a small zoo with pumas, a Ussuri tiger, kangaroos, meerkats, several parrot species, alpacas, llamas, an ostrich, turtles, and other animals.

The Faunapark can be reached by car via road II/369; free parking spaces are available there. By train, get off at Lipová-lázně station.

History and Culture

At the Spring of Emperor Joseph II in Horní Lipová, water was brought to Emperor Joseph II during his visit on September 1, 1779; a memorial pillar erected there commemorates this event.

A restored chapel near the Dívčí skály above the Spring of Emperor Joseph II offers a view of the ridge of the Jeseníky Mountains.

The Johanna Schrotha Museum presents the development of the spa industry and the history of Lipová-lázně.

The church in Horní Lipová is a single-nave building in a simple Neoclassical style, with a massive tower and a rectangularly enclosed presbytery; to this day, it forms a distinctive landmark of Horní Lipová. It was solemnly consecrated on November 2, 1788.
