Přestavlky: Hotels and Accommodations

Přestavlky can be experienced through its cultural monuments. Přestavlky Château is listed among the immovable cultural monuments of the Czech Republic; the château park in Přestavlky is also classified as an immovable cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

Culture and Architecture

The château is a rectangular, two-storey building with four wings. A dominant four-sided tower with a tent roof, onion dome and lantern rises above the complex. A grotto with a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes has been preserved in the château park. The park's main compositional axis is formed by an avenue of lime trees.

History

Švédské šance is also listed among the immovable cultural monuments of the Czech Republic. On the hill above Přestavlky, the remains of ramparts and ditches from a former fortress have been preserved at Švédské šance. In 1643, the site served as a base for the Swedish troops of General L. Torstenson.

The Church of St. Peter and Paul in Přestavlky dates from the first half of the 14th century and is already mentioned as a parish church in 1384. It has a rectangular nave, a narrower polygonally terminated chancel and a sacristy on the south side. It can be visited by prior arrangement and during services.

Nature

Přestavlcký les is a continuous forest complex with a mosaic structure consisting of Pannonian and Carpathian oak-hornbeam forests, as well as small areas of species-rich beech forests and ash-alder floodplain forests. It extends from 250 metres above sea level at Dobrčický rybník to 345 metres at a forest promontory above Salaš below Holý kopec.
