Bukovka: Hotels and Accommodation

Bukovka is surrounded by forests and ponds on its southern and eastern sides. The village’s present-day landmark is the Evangelical Reformed Church, built between 1859 and 1861 on the site of a wooden prayer house. From spring to autumn, services are regularly held there on Sundays at 9:30 a.m.; the church is also occasionally used for concerts, lectures, and youth events. On 29 May 2026, Bukovka’s Evangelical Church was included in the programme of the Night of Churches; a music programme took place there from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

History

Around 1465, the Lords of Bukůvka acquired the additional fortress of “Jilovka” with the adjoining Skříní Pond. The “Jilovka” fortress could only be accessed via a wooden bridge.

Bukovka is also home to a Neo-Gothic wayside shrine dating from 1872. A liberation monument stands in Bukovka’s village square.

A green-marked hiking trail runs through the Bukovka area along the dam of Rozhrna Pond. The 7 km-long cycle route 4276 begins at Trhoňka Pond in Bukovka and leads via Křičeň and Rohoznice to Dobřenice. A marked local cycle route also runs through Bukovka and Habřinka.
