Dašice: Hotels and Accommodation

Dašice is located in the Polabian Lowland on the Loučná River. The oldest surviving written mention of Dašice dates back to 1318.

History

The history of the town is also reflected in its notable buildings. The Baroque Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary dates from 1677 to 1707. It is a particularly important early Baroque building and an example of a basilica-style church. A Baroque statue of Saint Wenceslas still stands on the north side of Dašice’s market square.

Landscape

The surroundings of the Loučná River also bear historical traces: until the end of the 13th century, the river’s right bank near Dašice formed the edge of a large woodland complex. The hills of Hlaváč [Dašice-Prachovice], Hořánek [Dolní Ředice], Stropinský vrch [Úhřetická Lhota] and Na Kopci [Dolní Roveň] are located in the vicinity of Dašice.

Culinary delights

The local history also includes the Dašice Brewery, whose first written mention dates back to 1507. Brewery tours can be booked by telephone. Beer can be sampled there throughout the year.
