The entire Hartinkov area lies within Bohdalov-Hartinkov Nature Park; the village is also situated beneath the peaks of the Drahanská vrchovina. A signposted local cycling route runs through Hartinkov.

Nectava railway station is 5 km away and is connected to Hartinkov by a connecting bus. Buses run from the Hartinkov bus stop towards Chornice and Jevíčko.

Culture and History

Hartinkov is home to the Chapel of Saint Wenceslas. A manor farm was established from the former fortress in Hartinkov.

Hartinkov's expansion in the 19th century was connected with ore mining in the surrounding area. Some of the residents of the newer houses in Hartinkov worked in the surrounding mines. Some of the residents of the newer houses produced charcoal in kilns in the surrounding forests for the smelting furnace in Vranová Lhota.

Several original 19th-century buildings have been preserved in Hartinkov. On 28 September, the Václavské hody festival takes place in the village.
