Bdeneves: Hotels and accommodations

In the center of the village of Bdeněves stands the Chapel of St. Florian on the village square beside a local road. Bdeněves lies on the Mže, and the cycling route from Prague to Paris runs through the village.

Culture

The single-nave Chapel of St. Florian dates from the second half of the 18th century. A stone cross from 1889 stands in front of the chapel. The chapel is a protected cultural monument.

History

Bdeněves is mentioned as early as 1197 in documents of Kladruby Monastery. The Bdeněves–Za Školou archaeological site contains evidence from prehistory, the Linear Pottery culture, the Schusseriedská culture, the Bronze Age and Hallstatt period, the Nynická culture, the Early Hallstatt period, the older Roman Imperial period, as well as the Middle Ages and the modern era, including the Early Middle Ages.
