Bušovice Castle is not open to the public. It was built around 1710 by Videršperky and is a Baroque building from the end of the first decade of the 18th century, probably based on a design by the Pilsen architect Jakub Auguston. The castle includes a five-sided chapel with a small turret topped by an onion-shaped roof cupola.
The Na Hradišti archaeological site is located in the cadastral area of Střapole, part of the municipality of Bušovice, and is classified as a fortified hilltop settlement. It comprises a Copper Age hilltop settlement of the Cham culture. The site lies on a spur of land above the Berounka, between the Lužnice and the Korečnický stream.
Nature and Trails
The Kokotské rybníky educational trail is a 9-kilometre circular route that takes approximately 4 to 5 hours on foot. It is suitable for pedestrians, mountain bikers and older children, and is marked with green tourist trail signs.
The educational trail includes the Upper and Lower Kokotský rybník ponds, with species-rich shoreline zones. Parking is available where the educational trail crosses the road near the Upper Kokotský rybník. A bus stop for the educational trail is also indicated in Bušovice.
The trail presents the history of the vanished village of Kokoty and connects the landscape around the ponds with a specific historical topic.
