Terešov: Hotels and Accommodation
Terešov Chateau is a Baroque chateau dating from 1723. It has a rectangular floor plan and a mansard roof.
Culture and Historical Heritage
The granary in Terešov is a Neoclassical agricultural building that has been preserved in its original form above the village and is located directly next to the chateau grounds. The rural house in Terešov at registration no. 4 is a single-storey dwelling, partially built of timber. It was originally part of a small farm; it dates back to no later than the 1830s and was later partially altered.
The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Terešov is a dated High Baroque sculpture. Count Jan Křtitel Breda commissioned it.
Jewish Heritage
The Jewish religious community in TereÅ¡ov was the first Jewish religious community in the Rokycany District. The TereÅ¡ov synagogue was demolished after 1960. The Jewish cemetery lies about 2 km southwest of TereÅ¡ov on the road to BÃlá Skála; around 300 gravestones have been preserved there.
Nature and Trails
The V Horách Nature Reserve near Terešov protects a species-rich mixed woodland on a slope, with numerous yew trees and a rich forest flora and fauna. Approximately 3,300 yew trees grow there; the oldest trees have stood for more than 500 years. From Terešov, the nature reserve is best reached via a field track. Along the way, there is a chapel on the slope offering beautiful views of the surrounding area.
The Rokycany District has marked hiking trails and well-maintained forest paths with rest areas.
Geographical Context
The Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area extends as far as Zbiroh. Zbiroh lies 6 km southwest of Terešov.
