Cebiv: Hotels and accommodations

Cebiv is home to Cebiv Castle, an extensive Baroque château situated on a slight rise amid the village buildings.

Culture

The château has an H-shaped floor plan and, behind its Baroque façades, contains masonry from several construction phases ranging from the Late Gothic period to the final alterations made during the era of socialist Czechoslovakia. The chapel in the east wing preserves early Baroque doors and a barrel vault dating from the reconstruction period after the fire of 1657.

Cebiv’s historic buildings also include the paper mill. It was built in 1821 as a stone structure on the Hadovka stream, including a weir and a millrace. Since 2014, the traditional Cebivská náves event has been held in the château courtyard as part of the summer Baroque festival. It features historical sword fighting and demonstrations of traditional crafts.

Cycle paths and landscape

Signposted cycle route 2215 runs through Cebiv on a route between Trpísty and Černošín. The “K vodě dvakrát přes Hadovku” cycle route also passes through Cebiv. Cebiv extends on both sides of the valley of the Kozolupský potok; beyond Strahov, this route offers views of the valley and Cebiv.

Rail connection

Cebiv railway station is located on line 177 between Plzeň and Bezdružice.
