Zhoř: Hotels and accommodations

In the center of Zhoř village square stands a Marian chapel dating from 1715.

Culture and history

On the outskirts of Zhoř, on the left when leaving in the direction of Kostelec, there is a wayside shrine (Boží muka) dating from 1654. Boží muka is considered the oldest monument in the municipality of Zhoř.

Zhoř was first mentioned in 1239 and belonged to Kladruby Monastery until 1850, and later to its estate.

Cycle path

The Zhoř cycle path includes a 0.625 km-long section in the cadastral territory of Zhoř, which is connected to a parallel 0.491 km-long section in the cadastral territory of Skapce.

The cycle path partially follows the forgotten route of a former imperial road. It serves as a replacement for the existing unsuitable connection to the heavily trafficked II/193 road.
