Nature and trails

A green-marked hiking trail runs through Dolní Hradiště. The Dolní Hradiště viewpoint on the Střela can be accessed from the Baroko III cycling route.

Culture and history

Approximately 1.3 kilometers west to southwest of the center of Dolní Hradiště lies Babina in a bend of the Střela. Příkopy contains prehistoric finds and an early medieval settlement. Chaloupkův mlýn is located not far from Dolní Hradiště, above the Střela.

More than 100 recreational buildings are located in the cadastral area of Dolní Hradiště. Nearby are Bílý vrch hill [Kozojedy u Kralovic] and Střední vrch hill [Koryta]. Berdovna mountain, the Church of Svatý Martin, and Spálená hora hill [Plasy - Babina] are located in the vicinity of Dolní Hradiště.

In the wider regional surroundings of Dolní Hradiště are the ruins of Týřov, Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral, and the Church of U Svatého Petra.
