The Chapel of Saint Wenceslas is located in a visually prominent position on the village square in Dražovice and dates back to 1760.
Culture and History
A Gothic fortress stood in Dražovice by 1356 at the latest. On the site of the old fortress, a central hill approximately 25 m wide, as well as two systems of ramparts and ditches, have been preserved. The new Renaissance fortress of Dražovice was built in the 1530s or 1540s on the grounds of a farmstead and is privately owned; it is used as a residential building.
The Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast is considered a ruin and is located in the wider regional surroundings of Dražovice.
Nature
The Nezdický potok stream crosses the Dražovice area through a predominantly broad, green meadow floodplain and is a right-bank tributary of the Otava.
Mount Sedlo [Sušice-Albrechtice] and Mount Vysoký are located in the vicinity of Dražovice. Mount Svatobor and Mount Popelná hora are located in the surrounding area of Dražovice.
Getting Around
The 32 km-long “Okolo Sušice” cycle route passes through Dražovice; the village is listed on the route as a named stop.
Events
The lantern procession in Dražovice was scheduled for November 17, 2024, and November 17, 2025, with the meeting point at the chapel on both occasions. For 2024, another Masopust procession was planned in Dražovice, which was to pass through the village as it had the previous year.
